The undersigned Members of the European Parliament have sent a letter on the 7 October 2021 to Vice-President Timmermans, Commissioner Sinkevicius and Commissioner Urpilainen on the need to have substantive supply side measures as part of the upcoming deforestation regulation proposal.
Through the journey of leather, this “Supply Chain World Map“, prepared with the collaboration of MEP Anna Cavazzini and Earthsight, illustrates the extent to which European consumption is unwittingly driving deforestation.
